The IPL came alive over the weekend with two double headers at Sahara Park Newlands. My side, the Deccan Chargers, clinched an eight wicket win over Janine's Kolkata Knight Riders. Herschelle Gibbs top scored with 43 of 26 and man of the match, RP Singh took 4 for 22 in 3.4 overs, to win the match with 41 balls to spare. Yesterday's other contest was ruined by rain interuptions. Daniel Vettori took 3 for 15 in 3 overs to restrict the King's XI Punjab to 104 in 12 overs, but the Del! hi Daredevils innings was reduced to 6 overs after another rain interuption. Virender Sehwag hit 38 off 16 to reached the revised target of 54 in 4.5 overs. On Saturday, the Mumbai Indians beat the Chennai Superkings and the Bangalore Royal Challengers beat the Rajasthan Royals. Today it's Chennai versus Bangalore in PE. The next match in Cape Town is the Challengers against the Chargers on Wednesday.
