Bangladesh cruise to easy win

Bangladesh claimed a 2-1 series lead with a comfortable four-wicket win in the third one-day international against Zimbabwe in Mirpur.

Opener Tamim Iqbal was the architect, claiming 80 runs from 72 deliveries as the Tigers overhauled their 197 target with more than nine overs to spare.

He shared a 98-run second-wicket stand with Mohammad Ashraful (63) and, though they contrived to lose four wickets for 19 runs, the result was never really in doubt as they duly reac! hed 198 for six.

Earlier, Hamilton Masakadza was the only Zimbabwe batsman to make a sizeable contribution as the tourists were all out for 196.

The opener plundered 84 from 79 balls but no other tourist could reach 30 as Nazmul Hossain and Enamul Haque Jnr chipped in with three wickets apiece.

Bangladesh now need one more win to clinch the series.
